Blume Global Joins Logistics Leaders to Talk Supply Chain Visibility at DrayTECH

By The Blume Global Team

Later today, Blume Global’s Glenn Jones will be participating in a panel at DrayTECH, an industry summit for port servicing companies and technology providers to hear about the latest developments in drayage tech while outlining new best practices for intermodal transfers. Held at the Hotel Maya in Long Beach, California, it is hosted by the Harbor Trucking Association, a coalition of Los Angeles, Long Beach and Oakland Intermodal Carriers.

Drayage is the transport of freight a short distance between ports and warehouses as part of an intermodal network. It’s inherently inefficient— however, technology presents huge opportunities to optimize the drayage process. In particular, real-time visibility into containers and inventory throughout the drayage process can increase efficiencies while balancing capacity with freight, lowering prices while increasing asset utilization.

Jones, the global vice president of product strategy for Blume Global, and  David Arsenault from DCLI will join others on “Equipment Visibility: Lost and Found — Tracking Equipment,” a panel moderated by Bill Mongelluzzo, senior editor for the Journal of Commerce.

Blume Global gives logistics professionals the ability to track containers and inventory during every move, mode, and mile of the supply chain.
